About Us

Brighter Futures is committed to maintaining professional, neutral and child-focused practice at all times. Our team understands the importance of clear boundaries, accurate documentation and respectful communication when supporting children and families navigating separation, conflict and family law matters.

Annabel Rees - Manager and Lead Supervisor

Annabel has dedicated more than 25 years to supporting children, families, and communities across the Education, Welfare, and Child Safety sectors in the UK, NSW, and QLD.

For the past six years, she has worked in QLD's largest child contact centre, progressing from supervisor to manager, and gaining extensive leadership and service management experience.

She has now established Brighter Futures Family Services to continue supporting families with care and expertise.

With a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Psychology, Annabel combines professional knowledge with genuine compassion. As both an experienced practitioner and a parent, she brings warmth, understanding, and strong emotional insight to her work—helping people navigate challenging circumstances with empathy and clarity.

Glen Rudman - Family Support Practitioner

Glen brings over 30 years of experience working with children, young people and families across New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Australia. With a strong background in education, wellbeing and student support.

Glen has worked across a range of educational and community settings, developing a calm, practical and compassionate approach to supporting children and families through challenging circumstances.

Glen holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences and postgraduate qualifications in Education and brings knowledge in child development, communication, emotional wellbeing and family dynamics. He continues to expand his professional skill set within the supervised contact and family support sector through ongoing professional development in trauma-informed practice, family law processes and child-focused risk assessment.

Glen’s experience complements the broader Brighter Futures team by bringing additional insight into education, behaviour support and child-focused engagement strategies.
